Why Empty Hangar

We started Empty Hangar because finding the right aircraft is like finding a needle in a haystack. Separating the hangar queens from the projects, the bush workhorses from the commuters, and the vintage from the aerobatic showstoppers takes time.

We find the best listings to save you the hassle.

On Empty Hangar, we pull together the best bargains, the best examples, and the most rare aircraft for sale into one place so you don’t have to waste your time hunting. Or gathering.

We tend toward up-to-date and airworthy examples of general aviation types and will highlight when a listing sounds like a project. The big-dollar business jets or umpteenth flight school Cessna listed today isn’t really our focus unless the aircraft listed offers something unique or noteworthy.

If you spot an aircraft worth featuring, send it to us!

And help your fellow pilots and aviation enthusiasts by commenting on our listings. Pointing out something you noticed in the pictures or highlighting unusual details about a specific type can help those who need to know.
